The opioid epidemic continues to claim the lives of so many of our loved ones. Having been personally impacted by this epidemic through the loss of my cousin, words cannot capture the impact it is having across systems and families.
Having been elected to the newly formed Opioid Caucus for the National Partnership for Action, I look forward to helping set the national agenda on tackling opioids, while working with the US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health to build research and strategies to tackle the epidemic.
